On May 3, CMP joined the National Trust for Local News, The Colorado Sun and a coalition of partners to announce the purchase of 24 weekly and monthly newspapers, including some that have served suburban Colorado communities for generations. Local and national impact investors backed the purchase, with a common goal of ensuring that these valuable community assets remain in local hands with committed owners who are responsive to community needs.
