We are disciplined about our role as a strategic partner and convener. We bring our own deep expertise in ecosystem-building to our work, and we connect our partners with a broad network of state and national experts for high-level training and support.
We Are Guided by the Community
Our grant review committee includes CMP staff, funders, a mix of business experts, and community members who are compensated for their invaluable lived experience. This committee develops recommendations, which our Executive Committee then reviews to make final funding decisions. This process ensures our decisions are accountable and grounded in the needs of the communities our grantees serve.
We Create Working Groups
To drive meaningful change, we gather experts from across the media, philanthropy, and policy sectors into dedicated working groups. These cohorts focus on practical solutions and shared infrastructure, creating a more sustainable and responsive information network for our state.
