The Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition is a nonpartisan alliance of groups, news organizations and individuals dedicated to ensuring the transparency of state and local governments in Colorado by promoting freedom of the press, open courts and open access to government records and meetings.
CFOIC helps Coloradans understand and use the Colorado Open Records Act, the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act and the Colorado Open Meetings Law, as well as the rules governing court access. We also monitor Colorado legislation, judicial decisions and violations of the state’s open government laws.
