2020 Disinformation Emergency Training: Newsrooms on the Frontlines

  • Ritchie School of Engineering (map)

The tactics of deliberate media manipulation are increasingly used to spread division and hate online and are a clear and present threat to newsrooms as we head toward 2020.

Colorado Media Project is proud to welcome First Draft to Denver and invite you and journalists in your newsroom to participate in First Draft's state-of-the-art "disinformation emergency" training that is designed to help your organization mitigate the threat disinformation poses. This immersive event will build core competencies in identifying disinformation online and develop protocols for responding to information emergencies by building institutional capacity and provide tools and resources for navigating the complexities of information disorder online.

There is an optional reception on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the same location. Please indicate your interest in attending when registering for the day-long disinformation training.
